Qype - Live and tell

Welcome to the English version of our corporate blog.

Qype was launched in April 2006 in Germany (we are actually based in Hamburg). Since then, we have developed in Europe’s largest local review site with Reviews in more than 2500 cities. Currently has 1 Million Unique Users per month in Germany alone.
Qype was founded by Stephan Uhrenbacher (more about Stephan here on Qype or on Facebook) .
Qype has received funding from Advent Venture Partners and Partech and we have won the Red Herring Award in 2007.

We have been maintaining a blog in German language de.blog.qype.com since right from the start, then tried a bilingual blog. Since our UK users complained about German content and the Germans complained about English content, we decided recently to maintain two separate blogs.
