Hurrah!

Get your steak knives ready! we’ve got the next Meat-up sorted! We’re off to the Wheatsheaf on September 24th for some steaks and mixed grills and traditional English yumminess! (We’ve been doing the whole American BBQ thing a little too much, don’t you think?)

Here’s a few things you can expect from a Qype meat up:

Sounds good doesn’t it? We usually get to the venue around 7, so make sure you can join us! RSVP here so we can fit you all in, we had two tables last time!

Who knew that the monthly Qype Party would be such a big hit? We’ve had a brilliant time over the last few months. It’s pretty great that we can call part of our job getting Qypers drunk. Here’s a look back at some of the silliness so far this year.

First stop was the Coach and Horses in Soho. (Siany won lots of chocolates and vodka in the raffle which made her happy):

Then it was off to Theodore Bullfrog in Charing Cross. There were lots and lots of shots being drunk here:

Of course, the next party was the brilliant boat party on Battersea Barge. (Siany missed this and was very upset.)

Then Qyper Brodule let us takeover his brilliant pub in Farringdon, The Plumtree for what was undoubtedly the best London party so far. Here’s a photo from TikiChris of Mex looking very very happy.

Of course, there was some great fun had in Edinburgh too at the first out of London Qype party! (Where are photos from that party? We wanna see what trouble you got up to!) The details for the September party are here and it’s going to be a good one! This is on top of the Meat Ups, knitting, chocolate eating and the new breakfast club! There might even be a trip to the seaside…

A fine selection of London’s most carnivorous Qypers descended upon Bodeans BBQ in Soho last night for the first ever Qype Meat Up, to sate their cravings for flesh with steak, ribs, pulled pork and chicken.

Along with the meaty offerings many cocktails were also imbibed (the cosmopolitans and the margaritas seemed to be a big hit) and even the Qype Ninja made an appearance to fill his his tiny Ninja mouth with some baby back ribs.

So what next? Another Meat Up or should we skip the dead animal for a month and have a Qype Veg Out instead (maybe in the private dining room at Mildreds…it has rude Victorian art on the walls!)?
